Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who made her name with innovative raps which addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a an edgy, comical perspective. She then expanded into Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through trumpet. In the following years, she took up hip-hop and classical training. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. Then, she even had an hour studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. Her focus shifted towards music after she finished her studies. After becoming famous on the Internet the track My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album also included viral hits such as the body positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. The song was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Following a career that was successful as a singer, she took on the role of actor. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors to Storks. In 2018, she landed several notable performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
